Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox received a scholarship to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She managed to make it by surviving on a student stipend, and work part-time jobs. Lennox, while studying in the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy with her performance compared to that of the other students. Then she began to consider different options. Lennox was a flute player with a group called Dragons Playground in 1976. She left the band when the band was featured to I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist for The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later form Eurythmics. Lennox then began to work on her first solo album Diva, which was released around 1992. Commercially and critically the album was a massive achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo, released in October 2014 included Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored blues, soul and jazz songs. Lepidoptera, a collection four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. First album of hers, Now I'm Letting You go... was released as the soundtrack to her exhibit of work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox is a Scottish musician and singer who was born on December 25, 1954. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some popularity in the latter part of 1970s. Then, she was joined by her fellow musician Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox began her solo career by releasing the release of her first album Diva that produced a number of hit songs, such as Why and Walking through Broken Glass. Medusa a studio album which was released in 1995, features versions of some of her most popular songs including the No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). Her six studio solo albums and her compilation album include a number of songs.
