Dakota Blue Richards
Dakota Blue Richards is an English actress best known for her portrayal of Lyra Belacqua in the film The Golden Compass and Franky Fitzgerald on the third generation of actors in British the teen drama "Skins'. There is also a long performance history on stage in stage plays like 'Arcadia' as well as A Streetcar Named Desire. A London native, Richards grew up in Sussex. She was a part of a few drama classes at her school but was mostly taking acting lessons during the weekend. In addition, she skipped school in order to audition. 'The Golden Compass' was her first film appearance as an actor. Richards was widely recognized for her acting skills, when the film was met with mixed critiques. She made her television debut later that same year in the documentary Dustbin Baby.
