
Jennifer always dreamed of being an multi-tasking star. As a child Jennifer was into a wide range of music styles, but she particularly loved Afro-Caribbean music like merengue, salsa and Bachata. In addition, she loved mainstream music like hip-hop and R&B. She loved music but was also fascinated by motion picture industry. Her greatest influence was Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Aside from being a budding entertainment artist, Jennifer is also a Catholic schoolgirl, attending eight years in an Catholic elementary school , named Holy Family, located in The Bronx, before graduating from an all girls prep school, Preston High School after four years. Jennifer excelled in athletics throughout her school years and played tennis as well as track and field. Jennifer spent the majority of her time upbringing in a two-story house in the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer moved out of her home with her parents when she was 18 to move out. Lopez was a lawyer during this time and also took dance classes at night.
